Don W. Lenon, a beloved man of sweet charm and bright personality, passed away on March 29, 2024, in Billings, Oklahoma at the age of 78. He was born on February 9, 1946, in Arkansas City, Kansas.
He had a passion for riding his bicycle, observing people and traffic, as well as playing in the sand. He found joy in collecting buttons and assembling jigsaw puzzles. His favorite treats included cold coffee, stale Fritos, Milky Way candy bars, and Dr. Pepper.
Those left behind to cherish Donald's memory are his nieces and nephews, Teresa Lenon of Tonkawa, OK, Ernest Lenon II of Texas, Lori L. Benjamin of Washington, James W. Lenon, Jr. and wife Stacey of Edmond, OK, Jay A. Lenon also of Edmond, OK, Jason P. Lenon and wife Gina of Blackwell, OK, and several great nieces and nephews, also four cousins: Dorothy Dowler and husband Dave of Newkirk, OK, Doris Mayhill of Arkansas City, KS, Stanley Nellis and wife Debbie, and Herbert Nellis and wife Rita all of Newkirk, OK.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ernie Lenon and Jimmy Lenon
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Don’s life will be held on April 5, 2024, 2:00 pm, at Newkirk City Cemetery with Pastor Josh Garza officiating. Services are in care of Miller-Stahl Funeral Service of Newkirk, OK. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Opportunity Center, Inc 3007 N. Union, Ponca City, OK 74601
