Donald Redford, 73, beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle, was called to his eternal resting place on April 26, 2026. He entered this world on June 7, 1952, in Buffalo, NY, born to Harold and Marilyn Kessler Redford. Don is preceded by the passing of his mother, father and four siblings, Ed, Jerry, Roy, and Ray.
Don grew up in Springville, New York and came to Newkirk in 1972. He worked for numerous companies. His first was the gas station in Newkirk, and then he worked for Evans and Assoc., Rodeo Meat Packaging in Arkansas City. He then worked for Koch Industries in Tulsa and finally John Zink Company until his retirement in 2016. Don enjoyed attending Mud Races, Fishing, Hunting and watching old Westerns, especially Gunsmoke. He also enjoyed spending time with family.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his three children; Kirk Brown and wife Veronica of Ponca City, OK, Chris Redford and wife Teresa of Newkirk, OK, and Robert Redford and wife Nicole of Yukon, OK, grandchildren; Shelsey Brown, Keagan Brown, Joshua Brown, Teddy Redford, C.J. Redford and wife, Madison, Jaycee Haight, Colby Redford and wife Logan, Carter Redford, and Hadley Redford, great grandchildren; Kimber Keolsch, Charley Donaldson, Jace Gil, Colter Redford, Layna Redford, Baylon Redford, and Riley Redford. Don is also survived by his two brothers: Kenneth Redford and wife Joy of Ponca City, OK and Karl Mosier and wife Susan of Virginia, special friend and wife of Jerry from New York, numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at 2pm in the Newkirk City Cemetery under the care of Miller Stahl Funeral Services of Newkirk, OK. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026, in the Miller Stahl Funeral Home at 128 S. Main Newkirk, OK from 3p.m. to 7 p.m. with the family in attendance from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
