Leila Oestmann, 92, beloved Mother, and Grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on December 13, 2022. She entered this world on August 22, 1930, in Avery, OK, born to George H. and Viola Grother Wolff.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Mozeik officiating. Interment will follow in the Newkirk City Cemetery under the care of Miller Stahl Funeral Service. Visitation will be held Friday, December 16, 2022, in the funeral home from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The family has asked enloe of flowers please make memorial donations to Humanity Hospice or the St. John’s Lutheran church of Newkirk, OK. Leila grew up in Avery, OK and was confirmed in the Lutheran Church on April 8, 1945, in the Immanuel Evangel Lutheran Church in Avery, OK. She attended school in Avery and graduated from Kendrick High School in 1948. She met the love of her life Albert Oestmann. They were married on June 24, 1948, in Avery, OK and made their home in Grainola, OK. She worked at Dale's Foodliner and then Safeway in Arkansas City, KS in the meat department until her retirement in August of 1991. Leila enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, crocheting, quilting and being an active member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Alberta Kahle, Radena Eisenhauer and husband Doug, Gerell Oestmann and wife Ruth Ann, and Darell Oestmann all of Newkirk, OK., all of Newkirk, OK Grandchildren; Jerrita Staehr and husband Brian of Hampton, Nebraska, Jake Kahle and wife Lisa of Blackwell, OK, Scott Eisenhauer and wife Melissa of Arcadia, OK, Cody Oestmann and wife Teri of Ponca City, OK, Jerrilyn Eisenhauer and husband Justin of Tulsa, OK, Suzi Brown and husband Aaron of Newkirk, OK, Hope Rader and husband Ryan of Ponca City, OK, Jerrica Worthy and husband Stacey of Cushing, OK, and Morgan Ast and husband Josh of South Haven. She is also survived by Twenty-Eight great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
