Obituary

Marsha Ann Mauk, age 70, loving mother of five, passed away in the early hours of June 11th after a courageous battle with lung cancer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Marsha was born in 1956 in Norfolk, Virginia and grew up surrounded by her large family; she had 4 other siblings and many aunts and uncles. Growing up she enjoyed helping take care of her siblings and was apart of the Osage County 4-H where she met her lifelong friend Cindy Heidlage.

In her adult years she attended OSU where she received her Bachelors Degree in Journalism. Later in life, Marsha worked as a Laborer and Unit Operator at Conoco in Ponca City, Oklahoma for 15 years. Afterwards, Marsha opened up the Framing Shed and then she later moved to West End. Marsha was influenced by her family to be a honest and loving woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. She adopted 4 children in 2012. As a mother she was selfless, loving and kind. She was patient and spoiled them as much as she possibly could.

Marsha’s home was well known for being a sanctuary where all were welcome. She took people in and was a mother to any who were lost and needed a place to rest, an angel in disguise to guide them. Marsha first became a grandmother in 2017, she was absolutely thrilled about her family growing even bigger. In the years to follow she had even more, dedicating a lot of her time to be around her grandbabies who adored her. In her free time, Marsha loved to watch her old westerns, crime tv shows or gathering with her family to make homemade noodles and sharing a meal. She believed family was everything. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

We know that we can't have you, but we're happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a amazing woman and a beautiful mother.

Marsha is survived by her sister Debbie Loch and her husband Alan of Perkins, OK, Jimmy Mauk and his wife Brenda of Ponca City OK, Diana Weaver of Bedford TX, her children Taylor DeFoor of Springfield MO, Isabella Bailey and her husband of Ponca City OK, Susan Shriner and her mother Carolyn Dewey of Springfield MO, Jacob DeFoor of Pryor, OK, her grandchildren Chloe Wininger and Sophia Wininger of Springfield, MO Rowdy Bailey and Dawson Bailey of Ponca City OK, Nieces and nephew Crissi Loch and her husband of Alva OK, Jordan Vasilyuk and her husband of Bedford, TX Zachary Mauk of Ponca City OK and many other family members and cousins.
