Patty Arlene Frost

Patty Arlene Frost,  beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted foster parent, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Patty was born to Arnold D. Macklin and Opal M. (Bohl) Macklin on February 4, 1962, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. 

Patty’s journey was marked by her unwavering commitment to caring for others. She selflessly served as a foster parent for many years, providing a nurturing and supportive home to children in need. Later in life, she embraced a role as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she continued to touch lives with her compassion and gentle spirit.

Her personality radiated warmth and joy. Patty was a woman of faith who loved sharing her beliefs, always ready to speak about God with an open heart. Known for her ever-present smile, she welcomed everyone she met, making friends effortlessly wherever she went. Her gracious manner left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Among her cherished hobbies were crocheting and quilt-making, pastimes she often enjoyed while surrounded by family. Many fond memories remain of Patty sitting for hours around Christmas time, crafting beautiful gifts with her hands. She found pure joy in family moments such as the time they all gathered bushels of apples to make homemade apple butter, and in teaching the children essential skills like making gravy from scratch. Patty’s home was never without Dr. Pepper, a staple she insisted upon, and she was fond of her Rockies jeans, which became part of her signature style.

Patty took immense pride in her roles as a mother and grandmother, considering these her proudest accomplishments. She is survived by her five loving children: Joshua Ramsey and his wife Candace of Mannford, Oklahoma; William Ramsey and his wife Jessica of Queen City, Texas; Elizabeth Latta and her husband Jimmy of Connersville, Indiana; Benjamin Ramsey of Oilton, Oklahoma; and Jacob Ramsey of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Opal Macklin, and her brother, Randy Macklin.

A graveside service honoring Patty Arlene Frost will be held on June 5, 2026, at Newkirk City Cemetery located on Fork Road in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Patty’s life was one of generosity, faith, and love. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
