Obituary

Austin Edward Lucksted, 44 of Newkirk, OK, went to be with his heavenly father on Friday, December 16, 2022.  He was born on March 17, 1978 in Arkansas City, KS to Ruth (Bousson) Rosborough and John Lucksted.

Austin attended Newkirk High School.  As a child he loved to play his drums and listen to music.  He had a passion for music throughout his life.  When he was in his teens, he was part of a youth group at Christ Church in Newkirk. He enjoyed live music concerts and frequented a music venue in Bartlesville called the Warehouse with his youth pastor Cass.  He attended Cornerstone Music Fest several years--a week-long campout Woodstock for Christian music with his youth group and pastor Cass.  As he got older, he also loved listening to heavy metal and his favorite band was Tool. He enjoyed going to Tool concerts and other various rock concerts with his best friend Monty. He had quite the internal database when it came to movie stars, rock stars, movie titles, politicians, geography and current events.  He was an introvert, yet he loved to meet new people and strike up conversations.  He loved to play video games, going to movies and trying out new places to eat.  Austin enjoyed taking trips to Colorado and Florida with his friends Phillip, Mark, Jake and Sam.  He enjoyed visiting with friends and family.  Austin was a bit of a prankster and loved to play pranks on his friends.  He loved his friends, family and cats.  He especially loved his cat Oreo, who slept by his side every night.

Austin is survived by his mother, Ruth Rosborough and her husband Larry; father John Lucksted; a sister, Jennifer Austin and her husband Rocky; step-sister Debra Rosborough and her husband Joey; aunts Michelle Ames and her husband Mike, Yvette Chitwood, Glenda Casey and her husband David; cousins; Cheri, Christopher, Aleena, Sean and Josh.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncle and other loved ones.
