The daughter of Paul M. Cadenhead and Mary L. Miller Cadenhead. Lola was born January 4th, 1938, in Ralston, OK on the family farm. She completed her education at Ralston where she played basketball for the Ralston Lady Tigers while in high school and graduated with the class of 1956. She then attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah OK for 1 year and then moving to Hominy. She later enrolled in Ponca City Beauty School and graduated in 1959.
On Dec. 30, 1961, Lola, and James (Jim) W. Lenon were married in Hominy. They established their first home in Hominy where they owned and operated a filling station for a time. She worked at the Hair Bar in Hominy which started her 40-year career as a beautician. They moved to Ponca City in 1962 where she worked at Miller Markets for a time until she opened her own salon in Newkirk. They moved to Blackwell in 1974 and she continued owner/operator of her salon until her retirement. After retirement she worked at local convenience stores where she enjoyed talking with everyone.
Lola was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newkirk and had also attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Blackwell. She enjoyed quilting, camping and anything that involved the grandkids and great grandkids all 15 of them.
Lola is survived by her children, Teresa Lenon of Tonkawa, James W., Jr. and Stacey Lenon, Jay A., and Angie Lenon, all of Edmond and Jason P. and Gina Lenon of Blackwell; one sister Charlene Wilson and Don of Fairfax; brother-in-law’s; Harold Opitz of Ponca City, Donald W. Lenon of Billings. 10 grandchildren, Rocheyl and Miles Warwick, of Oklahoma City, Trenton Beliel and Ashley Freeman of Edmond, Hayden and Hunter Lenon, Yukon, Allison Lenon and Garrett Heinrich of Enid, Parker Lenon, Edmond, Bailey Lenon, Weatherford, Brett Lenon, Blackwell, Mandi Lenon, Edmond, Peyton Lenon, Blackwell, Jayme Lenon, Edmond. 5 great grandchildren; Landon, Teagyn, Ainsley, and Jett Beliel and Spencer Warwick.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents and one sister Ila Mae Opitz.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. on Monday September 27th at the Newkirk City Cemetery with Pastor Matt Smith of Immanuel Baptist Church Blackwell, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Miller-Stahl Funeral Service of Newkirk.
Those serving as casket bearers will be Trenton and Miles Warwick, Hayden, Brett, Peyton Lenon and Garrett Heinrich. Honorary bearers are Spencer Warwick, Landon Beliel, Teagyn Beliel, Ainsley Beliel, and Jett Beliel.
