Raymond Kirkbride

Raymond K. Kirkbride, age 71, left this world on August 9, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born August 17, 1948 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Otto Earl and Ezelia (Ford) Kirkbride. He was an avid OU Sooner fan and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved being on his boat and watching his grandchildren play in the lake. He graduated with the Newkirk High School class of 1967 and immediately entered the Navy were he served 4 tours in Vietnam. After working for Total Petroleum for 23 years, he obtained an Associates Degree from Cowley County Community College to finish his career as a draftsman for Mertz, Inc.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan (Lane) Kirkbride, son Chad Kirkbride and wife Joana, and daughter Kindal Eller and husband Steve, grandchildren, Alexis Kirkbride, Morgan Kirkbride, Jaycee Kirkbride, Hayden Eller, and his sister, Earlene Lane.

He is proceeded in death by both of his parents, his brother, Wilbur Kirkbride, Sister Shirley Jean Kirkbride and brother-in-law James Lane.

Per his request, there will be no services at this time, due to COVID. A memorial will be held at a later date.
