Dakota McCauley

July 12, 1991 — January 12, 2023

Braman, OK

Dakota James McCauley was born on July 12, 1991 in Ponca City, OK to Angie and Robin McCauley. He departed this life on January 12, 2023.

He lived in Ponca City and Braman, Oklahoma during his life and attended Ponca City grade and middle school. He attended high school in Braman where he received his GED.

Dakota enjoyed music of all kinds; rock and roll, old country, and others. He loved 4 wheeling and dirt biking. Summer was his favorite season because he could be outside doing different activities with his family. He also loved gaming, especially on his Playstation with his children. Dakota did say he always wanted to go to the mountains or be at the beach in a hammock, drinking a cold one. He was a welder and a jack of all trades. He was a very loving person and could make everyone laugh. His relationship with all his children was “Golden” and they called him “The Dad”; he cared and loved them very much.

Those left behind to cherish Dakota’s memory are his mother, Angie McCauley of Braman; father Robin McCauley of Ponca City; grandmother Nora Schultz of Braman; one sister Sarah McCauley of Ponca City; two brothers: Ryann McCauley and Randon Higgins, both of Ponca City. His children: Charish McCauley (12), Kohlton Jewell (12), Trinity McCauley (11), Kyndal Jewell (10), Chevelle McCauley (6), Karizma Rodriguez (3); loving mother of his children, Cristina McCauley (wife) and Jamie Lopez. Two honorary brothers: Devon and Trevor Baldwin, as well as many family and friends.

Dakota was preceded in death by his grandparents: Rick and Sharlett Short, Buzz Schultz, Clyde and Kaye McCauley and one cousin, Tommy Lee Dyer.
