Honey Layton, 73, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called to her eternal resting place on July 15, 2021. She entered this world on June 28, 1948, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, born to Pete and Pat Anstine Masters.

Honey grew up in Newkirk and graduated in 1966. She continued to cheerlead for NHS through the years as her kids and grandkids participated in sports, band and other activities. Honey enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends. She also worked for ADPC of Ponca City for 34 years. No matter how long she lived in Ponca, though, she always considered Newkirk home.
